Relationships and Conflicts.
Imprints from your family and personal history
“Disappointment is the end of illusion.”
Do you assume others think and feel the way you do – and find yourself disappointed when they don’t behave the way you expect?
In coaching, you become far more aware of who you are and what you can realistically expect from others.
This makes it easier to anticipate other people’s behaviour and needs in advance – and to win them over for yourself and your goals. You learn to assert your needs with elegance and confidence, and to communicate in a way that makes the bait appealing to the fish rather than to the angler – in other words, in a way that gets others to take your line.
As a result, you can resolve conflicts constructively and with greater ease – or, when needed, proactively avoid them altogether.
Your relationships with yourself and with other people were largely shaped in childhood and throughout your personal history, and the attitudes and behaviour that grew out of them later become habits that run almost automatically.
Through coaching, you become aware of your individual patterns and learn to steer them consciously. Others can no longer “push your buttons,” and you become freer to be yourself and to unfold your full potential in your interactions with others.
You learn to better understand both your own feelings and those of others – and to transform them as needed.
The essential starting point is your relationship with yourself. Only someone who is at home within themselves can welcome guests. Your relationship with others is often a mirror of your relationship with yourself.
As your coach, I stand at your side and support you through reflection, feedback, and concrete impulses, suggestions, and methods to strengthen your connection to yourself and to the people around you.
Your past cannot be changed, and it has shaped you. Starting today, however, coaching can give you a new awareness that allows you to deal with it differently.
Even if you no longer want – or are no longer able – to be in contact with certain people from your family or your past, you will learn to be at peace within yourself and to let go of the past, along with the unmet expectations you held toward others. Because staying angry and unable to forgive is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die from it.
Your relationship with yourself, your family, and the people around you will steadily improve.
You will experience a nourishing and fulfilling relationship with yourself and with others.
